About Tatyana
Tatyana Sturm is a proud Colorado native. She and her husband moved to the Cherry Creek School District over two decades ago to raise their family. Both of her sons attended Cherry Creek schools — with the oldest graduating in 2023, and the youngest currently at Grandview.
Over the past twenty years, Tatyana has poured her heart into making the Cherry Creek community a better place for families. From volunteering in classrooms and at school functions, to hosting community events, Tatyana and her family have supported our schools in countless ways. When anyone in the community needs something, Tatyana steps up, and now she is stepping up to run for school board.
Professionally, Tatyana runs a successful real estate business with a strong background in construction and investment across Colorado, the country, and even internationally. Tatyana will bring her business perspective to the school board, focusing on accountability, return on investment, and fiscal responsibility. Tatyana knows every tax dollar must be properly invested in our students, teachers, staff, and schools.

Tatyana’s Top 5 Priorities for Cherry Creek Schools
Fiscal Responsibility — Ensure every tax dollar is spent wisely by focusing on return on investment, working within proposed budgets, and finding ways to save money across the district. More funds must go directly into classrooms to support teachers and students.
Parent Partnership — Increase parent involvement and give parents a stronger voice in their child’s education. Provide parents the tools and transparency they need to make the best choices for their kids.
Keep Politics Out of Schools — Unite, don’t divide. Stop political agendas from driving decisions, listen to the community from the bottom up. Cherry Creek is a diverse district. Our focus should be on respecting every family’s values.
Whole-Child Success — Support strong academics while also encouraging good mental and physical health. At the same time, expand pathways for success — because not every student is college-bound. We need to grow career and technical education opportunities that prepare all students for the real world.
Protect Excellence & Taxpayers — Maintain and grow Cherry Creek’s reputation as a district of excellence for students, families, homeowners, and taxpayers — strengthening student readiness to thrive, property values, and community pride.
Key Goals include:
- Maintaining and increasing enrollment to secure funding for all students, including those with special needs.
- Reducing class sizes for more individual attention.
- Giving teachers the flexibility and creativity to do their best work.
- Raising test scores and proficiency in basic skills to exceed pre-COVID levels.
- Protecting and strengthening home values across the district.
